Today, the Wikipedia community announced its decision to black out the English-language Wikipedia for 24 hours, worldwide, beginning at 05:00 UTC on Wednesday, January 18 (you can read the statement from the Wikimedia Foundation here). The blackout is a protest against proposed legislation in the United States—the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the PROTECT IP Act (PIPA) in the U.S. Senate—that, if passed, would seriously damage the free and open Internet, including Wikipedia.

This will be the first time the English Wikipedia has ever staged a public protest of this nature, and it’s a decision that wasn’t lightly made. Here’s how it’s been described by the three Wikipedia administrators who formally facilitated the community’s discussion. From the public statement, signed by User:NuclearWarfare, User:Risker and User:Billinghurst:

It is the opinion of the English Wikipedia community that both of these bills, if passed, would be devastating to the free and open web.

Over the course of the past 72 hours, over 1800 Wikipedians have joined together to discuss proposed actions that the community might wish to take against SOPA and PIPA. This is by far the largest level of participation in a community discussion ever seen on Wikipedia, which illustrates the level of concern that Wikipedians feel about this proposed legislation. The overwhelming majority of participants support community action to encourage greater public action in response to these two bills. Of the proposals considered by Wikipedians, those that would result in a “blackout” of the English Wikipedia, in concert with similar blackouts on other websites opposed to SOPA and PIPA, received the strongest support.

I don’t know!  I don’t know astrology.  I can’t even tell you if the date is really 11/11/11 for all I know the year might be wrong say 2014 instead of 2011, the date is probably normal and boring in other calendars (like the Muslim, Mayan, Hebrew calendars) today.
But, I can tell you the moon is full tonight!
And, no matter what the date astrologically (and corrected for error) might be,  that doesn’t lessen the uniqueness of this day.

Nothing and everything!
It is what you make it.  Just like everything else in our lives and society at large, it is what we, human-kind, decide to make of it, and is ultimately what we make it, as a society and on individual basis. (Think: christmas, rituals, holidays, money, brands, trends, music,  laws, habits, best sellers, and others “labels” that we as a society create and agree to live by.. we created them, we made them all what they are).

The “Agro-ecology and the right to food” confirmed what many in the traditional food movement already knew, traditional small-scale farming is better than large-scale factory farming.

My vision is to see a community farm in every town, neighborhood, or every few city blocks.  Modernity and civilization do not have to equal a separation of people from the natural world. People are happier and healthier around plants and fresh food, people and food have always existed together, children need to see their food growing and pick up fresh food. This is better for the health, mind, soul, and as this report shows this is better for the society, economy, and the environment.

GENEVA (8 March 2011) – Small-scale farmers can double food production within 10 years in critical regions by using ecological methods, a new UN report* shows. Based on an extensive review of the recent scientific literature, the study calls for a fundamental shift towards agroecology as a way to boost food production and improve the situation of the poorest.

“To feed 9 billion people in 2050, we urgently need to adopt the most efficient farming techniques available,” says Olivier De Schutter, UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food and author of the report. “Today’s scientific evidence demonstrates that agroecological methods outperform the use of chemical fertilizers in boosting food production where the hungry live — especially in unfavorable environments.”

Agroecology applies ecological science to the design of agricultural systems that can help put an end to food crises and address climate-change and poverty challenges. It enhances soils productivity and protects the crops against pests by relying on the natural environment such as beneficial trees, plants, animals and insects.

“To date, agroecological projects have shown an average crop yield increase of 80% in 57 developing countries, with an average increase of 116% for all African projects,” De Schutter says. “Recent projects conducted in 20 African countries demonstrated a doubling of crop yields over a period of 3-10 years.”

“Conventional farming relies on expensive inputs, fuels climate change and is not resilient to climatic shocks. It simply is not the best choice anymore today,” De Schutter stresses. “A large segment of the scientific community now acknowledges the positive impacts of agroecology on food production, poverty alleviation and climate change mitigation — and this is what is needed in a world of limited resources. Malawi, a country that launched a massive chemical fertilizer subsidy program a few years ago, is now implementing agroecology, benefiting more than 1.3 million of the poorest people, with maize yields increasing from 1 ton/ha to 2-3 tons/ha.”

The report also points out that projects in Indonesia, Vietnam and Bangladesh recorded up to 92 % reduction in insecticide use for rice, leading to important savings for poor farmers. “Knowledge came to replace pesticides and fertilizers. This was a winning bet, and comparable results abound in other African, Asian and Latin American countries,” the independent expert notes.

“The approach is also gaining ground in developed countries such as United States, Germany or France,” he said. “However, despite its impressive potential in realizing the right to food for all, agroecology is still insufficiently backed by ambitious public policies and consequently hardly goes beyond the experimental stage.”

The report identifies a dozen measures that States should implement to scale up agroecological practices.

“Agroecology is a knowledge-intensive approach. It requires public policies supporting agricultural research and participative extension services,” De Schutter says. “States and donors have a key role to play here. Private companies will not invest time and money in practices that cannot be rewarded by patents and which don’t open markets for chemical products or improved seeds.”

I recently completed reading a book titled Sugar Blues by William Duffy, I picked it up at a closeout sale at a Borders bookstore for half price. I like this one, learned a few things from it and have since recommended it to a few friends. I also have largely gone on a sugar-free experiment. I also recommend you read this book, it’s a classic diet book, yet it sounds as if it was written a couple years ago, there might be a few outdated bits and pieces but again, this is a classic worth reading and has a wealth of insight to offer you. I had reduced my sugar intake for a few years, seeking to be “moderate”, this book is actually helping me far “very easily” resist sugar. I am almost sugar free these days. I appreciate the history in this book, you will learn about the history of sugar, and other things like fermenting, sauerkraut and beer. You will learn how sugar was invented, and you will be reminded that unlike salt (so essential people used it as currency in the past) sugar is a relatively new addition to our diet. This book touched me in a positive way, and I feel it will do the same with you. You just might never look at food and eating the same way again! all good positive things!

Well, what else does the book talk about? Duffy makes it clear how he dislikes how sugar is labeled (or not labeled) on products and how it is inaccurate to lump refined sugar with other healthy carbs under the same label name. See, not all carbs are the same, but a food label doesn’t tell you that, nor does it say how much added sugar is in a product. You might be surprised to learn what I learned about brown and raw sugar products, and what they put sugar in (ketchup, mayo, dressing, etc), you’ll read about sugar and the persians, indians, crusades, and even slavery! The book is easy to read as well, well documented and sourced.

Knowing what I know now, it is difficult to allow myself to eat sugar, and I have this book to thank. This books acts as an anti-sugar vaccine or an anti-sugar booster shot. If you crave sugar simply read this book and you will no longer crave it!

Sugar is not a nutrient, it is not empty calories either, it is actually an anti-nutrient, when you eat it you are eating something that takes away vitamins from your body to rid itself of sugar.. thus Duffy defines it as a poison, and I see why.

I’ve finished the book a weak ago only, I can say no to sugar now easily, I have resisted cravings and know what it feels like to eat sugar now vs. another source of calories, and I am still learning my body’s response and watching to see how my health will improve. I am unable to tolerate sugar in things now, many things smell and taste too sweet! I do not touch or crave the junk you find at gas stations or coffee shops. Instead of sugar I eat fruits, brown rice, potatoes etc.. real healthful calories. It’s a transition, for sure, but a good and natural one. I wish I had read this book 20yrs ago, as a kid I binged on sugar and now can see how it probably had negative effects on my health.

See, the thing is, “when it comes to sugar, the secret is not moderation but avoidance.”

Below I quote a few paragraphs that are very true that a friend of mine who healed himself from cancer naturally and now helps hundreds of people, Dr Charles Morris said on his website www.distance-healer.com. The below are timeless words of wisdom from an experienced person.  I often say very similar things to my clients, as truth is universal.

What is really frustrating to me is that even when I spend years researching things and put it all up on my website for free, no one takes the time to really study (or even read it thoroughly), and they then ask questions that are already on the website (i.e., they’re too busy to learn how to not die and won’t do the work necessary to maximize their health, including reading free information that took thousands of hours to compile and then is given to them for free. Most complain that blended vegetables don’t taste good, or they don’t like to take a lot of supplements (but they have no problem spending lots of money taking all kinds of trips to remote islands, drinking booze and eating bad food with the money that they claim would be “wasted” on supplements to fight their cancer with). Some actually ask if they were to take just one supplement (and not change their diet or lifestyle), if they can beat terminal, stage 4 cancer! When I tell them that they have to do some work to get better, they go back to the chemo and radiation doctors, and I hear soon afterwards that they’re dead.

Some people are determined to die in order to somehow “get even” with someone else – these people cannot be helped, no matter how good a protocol or doctor is; they give up the “will to live” and hasten their own death. Furthermore, no doctor wants to get into the middle of it and be blamed for it.

Also, if you believe someone or something has the power to kill you (as in voodoo), then you’ve empowered it to kill you and it may, unless you take the power to kill you away from it. The converse is also true. There is a book about 50 cancer survivors that illustrates this: each beat cancer in a different way; the only thing they had in common was the fierce belief that life was worth living and that they were going to beat cancer. Make sure that you WANT to live: there’s a huge difference between merely being afraid of dying and embracing life, loving life and wanting to live. Also, don’t give someone else the power to take away your will to live; if you’re not happy with your life, CHANGE IT! You don’t have to die to escape from it.

Bad habits, diet and lifestyle (and often a bad attitude/mindset and neglect of your spiritual self) lead to cancer by activating certain inherited genes that pre-dispose you to getting cancer. The good news is that 80% of these genes can be either activated or de-activated. What is necessary is to fully commit to doing what is necessary to get better and stay better. Once you beat cancer (for the rest of your life), in order to keep cancer from coming back, you’re going to have to keep from falling back into your old habits, because that is how you ended up getting cancer in the first place.

Your belief system can severely limit your available options, many of which are viable ones. Sure, there are quacks out there, but not every non-chemo and non-radiation treatment is quackery; follow the money, and try to step back and see outside of the box. I definitely recommend reading “Questioning Chemotherapy” by Ralph Moss: cancer is actually a cry from your body for help because it cannot tolerate your toxic diet and/or lifestyle – it is not a cry for you to flood it further with more toxins from chemo and radiation. The odds of beating it are MUCH greater when a person starts the protocol before they’re dying. Chemo works in less than 2% of cancers — and of those 2%, more than half of them get secondary cancers caused by the chemo. According to Dr. Blaylock, “It’s important to remember that secondary cancers are not recurrences of a previous cancer but entirely new cancers caused by the treatment. Most often, the secondary cancer is much more resistant to treatment than was the original cancer. Biopsies (including needle biopsies) also spread cancer in more than half of the cases.”

He also says on dosage:

Many people don’t seem to understand that the dosages of therapeutic supplements are critical, and that you can’t just take a few of the supplements along with chemo or radiation and increase your chances of success — the supplements try to build your body and immune system up and the chemo and radiation try to tear it down. I still take 175 pills/capsules each day, drink/chew two 10 ounce glasses of raw, organic vegetable juice along with a perfect diet, avoid toxic brands of cosmetics, cleaners, air fresheners, deodorants, soaps, etc., and make time to study what I need to know in order to survive (i.e., take charge of my health), not just blindly follow what some doctor tells me to do (i.e., delegate responsibility to someone else) — it all boils down to whether a person REALLY wants to live and is willing do what it takes, or not

Some colleagues have told me that it’s human nature to value something relative to its cost, and that people would value this information more and do more to help themselves if I were to charge them for it, but I want to help people who are hurting financially and not add to their burden of cancer.

One thing that might be confusing you is that therapeutic dosages of supplements (including vitamins) are a lot different from preventative dosages (RDA minimums — the amounts below which certain deficiency diseases appear) and have different effects; that’s why dosage is very important.

Iodine deficiency is a common cause of hypothyroidism. Get enough Iodine , use SSKI to get Iodine

Avoid soy (it induces hypothyroidism) especially un-fermented  soy

Use coconut oil

If you are hypothyroid, hormones can be used, Synthroid (T4) and other synthetic hormones are not recommended. If you have not been on synthetic hormones for a long time using armour thyroid is better (gives you T1, T2, T3 and T4). Eventually you may be able to not need hormones at all. Your allopathic physician will prescribe synthetic drugs, a holistic doctor will prescribe armour thyroid instead.

I take Iodoral or Lugols and eat sea weed to get iodine into my diet. I do “not” use table salt. Table salt should be avoided. Also cruciferous vegetables inhibit the thyroid and they should be steamed before being eaten to remedy this.

ABSTRACT

A definitive review and close reading of medical peer-review journals, and government health statistics shows that American medicine frequently causes more harm than good. The number of people having in-hospital, adverse drug reactions (ADR) to prescribed medicine is 2.2 million.¹ Dr. Richard Besser, of the CDC, in 1995, said the number of unnecessary antibiotics prescribed annually for viral infections was 20 million. Dr. Besser, in 2003, now refers to tens of millions of unnecessary antibiotics.^{2, 2a}

The number of unnecessary medical and surgical procedures performed annually is 7.5 million.³ The number of people exposed to unnecessary hospitalization annually is 8.9 million.⁴ The total number of iatrogenic deaths shown in the following table is 783,936. It is evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the United States. The 2001 heart disease annual death rate is 699,697; the annual cancer death rate, 553,251.⁵

ANNUAL PHYSICAL AND ECONOMIC COST OF MEDICAL INTERVENTION

We could have an even higher death rate by using Dr. Lucien Leape?s 1997 medical and drug error rate of 3 million. ¹⁴ Multiplied by the fatality rate of 14% (that Leape used in 1994¹⁶ we arrive at an annual death rate of 420,000 for drug errors and medical errors combined. If we put this number in place of Lazorou?s 106,000 drug errors and the Institute of Medicine?s (IOM) 98,000 medical errors, we could add another 216,000 deaths making a total of 999,936 deaths annually.

ANNUAL UNNECESSARY MEDICAL EVENTS STATISTICS

The enumerating of unnecessary medical events is very important in our analysis. Any medical procedure that is invasive and not necessary must be considered as part of the larger iatrogenic picture. Unfortunately, cause and effect go unmonitored. The figures on unnecessary events represent people (?patients?) who are thrust into a dangerous healthcare system. They are helpless victims. Each one of these 16.4 million lives is being affected in a way that could have a fatal consequence. Simply entering a hospital could result in the following:

1. In 16.4 million people, 2.1% chance of a serious adverse drug reaction,1 (186,000)
2. In 16.4 million people, 5-6% chance of acquiring a nosocomial infection,9 (489,500)
3. In16.4 million people, 4-36% chance of having an iatrogenic injury in hospital (medical error and adverse drug reactions),16 (1.78 million)
4. In 16.4 million people, 17% chance of a procedure error,40(1.3 million)

All the statistics above represent a one-year time span. Imagine the numbers over a ten-year period. Working with the most conservative figures from our statistics we project the following 10-year death rates.

Comment:

I agree with this quote. However, I must say while many seem to have these gaping holes that they seek to fill (usually with food, habits or material items) some of us do not have the hole. The hole can be plugged, it can be filled. We are whole and complete as we are, we are divine and holy, all of us. Many do not know that. I wish everyone would have the insight and openness to see this on their journey, as this is my truth.

I suggest the following to help you fill that hole: Just Be, Meditate, Experiment with hypnosis, Spend time with nature, in nature, admire the beauty in nature, be alone, explore your own mind/body .. Reconnect with the spirit of nature, feel it, hear it, experience it, enjoy it! It is always there, just as the “answer to fill the hole” is, very close that many can’t see it. This answer is not in words, not in data, not even in seeing. It is so basic, emotional knowing in your gut, that many first need to slow down and reconnect with themselves before they can suddenly find this hole simply gone. The answer is always there, we just think it’s not because it is not in words or science, it is very personal and organic, so close. You just have to look inside of you, and be. When this hole is filled, then everything inside and outside will look alive, more colorful, more holy, you start to see things (everything) differently in some way.

“The missing link in physics is consciousness”

Scientists consider math as the universal language. Should we meet aliens from other galaxies math is expected to be the language we could use. Notice how math is a “language”

We also consider physics to hold “laws” of nature. Yet a universal unifying theory of physics still eludes the greatest minds.

Humans do not use physics to walk, to open a door knob, to run, to use tools.

Cats do not use physics or equations when they sprint or jump on to the counter-top.

Birds do not use physics or equations to fly.

The biological brain or what we call the “mind” in these beings does NOT use equations or math.

I was taught that everything and everyone uses physics, this statement is very misleading. Physics, as in all of Science, simply “explains” or interprets into “laws, observations, words and numbers what nature does.

Physics and math are simply written “languages” that we use to explain “nature” or what we consider “reality”. All living beings seem to function just fine, naturally, organically, without knowing math or physics.

The reason a unifying theory of physics is missing, the reason physics explains many things but not everything, is that physics (and math) are missing something.

Physics and math are missing something that cannot be written, or explained, or translated into a human language, this missing link is “consciousness”.

I remember the first day I was exposed to physics. I was very excited to interpret and understand how things work. However, I soon started to notice a persistent thought, it almost always nagged on me, starting on the first day and onto every physics class I took in high school. Even in college this thought never cased to exist. I found myself often thinking (more accurately feeling), “but this is not right”, “something is wrong about this”, “I know physics is not done this way”. My main feeling was that “it was wrong”. But I could not explain where this feeling came from. I simply assumed that I just needed to learn more advanced physics to get this feeling to go away.

Many 2,000 to 3,500 years old mummies show obvious signs of periodontal diseases, abscesses and cavities.

After examining research of more than 3,000 mummies, anatomists and paleopathologists at the University of Zurich concluded that 18 percent of all mummies in case reports showed a nightmare array of dental diseases.

“Evidence of dental disorders is plentiful because usually teeth are among the best preserved parts of a body. As for other diseases, the published studies do not always provide in-depth details. Nevertheless, we came across some interesting findings,” senior author and medical doctor Frank Ruhli, head of the Swiss Mummy Project at the University of Zurich, told Discovery News.

Published in the Journal of Comparative Human Biology (HOMO), the review takes into consideration all studies published since 1977, when computed tomography was first applied to ancient Egyptian mummies.

Degenerative and infectious diseases were also very common. The most common cases included: Osteoarthritis, atherosclerosis (a hardening of the arteries), chronic infectious middle ear diseases, tuberculosis, gangrenous stomatitis, gangrene of the cheek and gums, and tumorous lesions were all found.

Just because the ancient Egyptians (and their mummified bodies) had periodontal diseases does not mean that everyone must get periodontal diseases. What this finding tells us is that we do not want the Egyptian life style, what they ate must have contributed to their tooth decay.

In other words, you may consider the ancient Egyptian civilization as a really ancient one, and the fact that even they back then suffered dental diseases shows that it is “normal” for humans to experience such conditions. This logic is flawed, what the mummies show us is that the ancient Egyptians (and their civilization) did something that had a negative effect on their teeth.

One must know that despite the Egyptian mummies having tooth decay issues, that Dr. Weston Price found many “uncivilized” tribes had immaculate teeth, other fossil records show ancient human teeth that are in very good condition; these people did not have brushes, tooth paste or mouth washes. They also did not live in what we term a “civilized” society, rather they had a natural diet and life style.

Both ancient Egyptians and the modern humans suffer from periodontal diseases due to their “civilized” diet and life style and not because it is “normal for everyone” to experience periodontal diseases as some would like to you beleive.

Oral cleanliness is not the best known means for the control of dental caries because:

(I) Since primitive man has had high immunity to dental caries he becomes our control in the great experiment of civilizations.

It is essential there fore, that we study the controlling factors of his environment, of which he is the product, and use these as our yardstick for studying modern civilization.

For this I have studied remnants of several primitive racial stocks where their physical isolation had sheltered them from the influences of our modern civilization, and by studying them and their foods and their methods of living, certain underlying factors are found to be common to all these primitive groups, even though they were living in different countries and on very different foods. This permits us to critically analyze modern civilizations at their points of contact with the primitives and, by studying them and their problems with the standards of immune primitives, not the factors which are contributing to dental caries.

By studying the children in four isolated valley in Switzerland; Loetschental, Visperterminen, Grachen, and Ayer in the Swiss Alps, I found the incidence of dental caries to be only 4.6 percent of the teeth studied. Here oral prophylaxis and modern equipment for practicing it were largely unknown. At St. Moritz, however, at approximately the same altitude, which is highly modernized community with excellent training in oral prophylaxis, the incidence of caries was 29.8 per cent of teeth studied.

At Vissoie and Zinal, which were partially modernized, 22 percent of the teeth examined had been attacked by dental caries. At Herisau, in the plains country of Switzerland, also a highly modernized community with splendid instruction and equipment for mouth cleanliness, the incidence of cares was 24.7 per cent of the teeth examined.

Similar studies were made in the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland and revealed that in the isolated districts of the Isles of Lewis and Harris, only 1.2 percent of the teeth examined has been attacked by dental caries. Oral prophylaxes was almost unknown. In the ports and modernized sections the incidence of dental caries was found to be 30 per cent of teeth examined.

The natural foods available for these two primitive groups wee very different in origin, but similar in chemical content, as will presently be shown.

Similarly, studies were made of remnants of the primitive Eskimos and Indians of Alaska and northern Canada and of those individuals of these groups who are at the point of contact with modern civilization.

The Eskimos of western and northern Alaska were reached by airplane and for several groups who had been but little influenced by modern civilization, hence living entirely on native foods, the per cent of teeth found to have been attacked by dental caries was 0.09, that is, only two teeth out of 2138 in seventy-two individuals. No effort apparently had ever been made at oral prophylaxis in these groups.

At the point of contact with modern civilization, where a government supply boat comes once a year to provision a government state, the incidence of caries among the local Eskimos increased to 13 per cent of the teeth, or 394 teeth out of 2254 in eighty-one individuals. At this point oral prophylaxis was being taught and practiced and, in spite of it, the increase in dental caries was 144-fold. The controlling factors in producing these changes will presently be shown to be nutritional. The natural food of the primitive Eskimos was almost entirely the animal life of the sea.

Below I summarize an article titled “Why You Should Never Get A Root Canal” posted on January 16, 2010

Three major issues that are wrong in the main stream dental professions are:

1- mercury-filled amalgams,
2- root canals
3- any sort of dental filling material imaginable

It’s a good idea to remove existing root canals and to definitely avoid getting any new ones. Once a tooth is removed the empty space where the tooth was will be filled up with bone in due time.

Dentists say that a root canal allows one to hold on to their tooth -> Comment: a dead tooth.

Dentists will also tell you that bacteria wont be an issue, this is incorrect. Studies on thousands of teeth have demonstrated the presence of bacteria in 80% to 90% of the canals after they have been “sterilized.” -> I know an oral surgeon that removes root canals, she said they always smell bad, look bad and are infected!

Root canals are very profitable to the dentists.

“Modern testing procedures have confirmed the work of Dr. Weston Price’s research using DNA analysis, making any claim by the ADA that Price’s research being “outdated,” is an attempt to keep the public blind over the real dangers of root canals.”

“Dr. Josef Issels of Germany found that in his 40 years of treating terminal, end-stage cancer patients, 97% of them had root canals. He would not initiate his successful treatments until all root canals had been removed.”

“According to Dr. Weston Price, the primary bacteria found in root canals includes streptococcus, staphylococcus, and spirochetes. He found 90% of the bacteria in the teeth that produced the patients’ acute diseases were streptococcus and 65.5% of the time they belonged to the fecalis family. ”

This bacteria, enters the blood stream and travels to organs or tissue. -> Comment: This bacteria is extremely toxic, many times over, anaerobic bacteria have been found and identified in and around root canals.

Billions of bacteria live in and around root canals, they create the most toxic organic substances known such as “thio-ethers” these are 1000 times more toxic than botulism toxin, which used to be considered the most toxic organic substance.

“Mercury is the second most toxic substance on the planet, next to plutonium. When mercury or other dental filling material exchanges with bacteria, the harm becomes magnified.”

“The Toxic Element Research Foundation, headed by Dr. Hal Huggins has uncovered extremely disturbing data concerning the implications of root canal bacteria and various autoimmune diseases.”  This information, like many new and enlightening scientific discoveries throughout history has been ignored by mainstream dentists.

Know that “most dentists are ill-equipped in the removal of both amalgams and root canals.” Upon the removal of root canals, it is suggested by Dr. Hal Huggins to have a treatment of intravenous ascorbic acid (vitamin C) to help kill of the microbes.

To remove amalgam fillings, a special dentist should be found that specializes in this. Incorrect removal, residual toxicity can result. -> Comment: Most dentists that are not equipped will refuse to remove the amalgam since it is considered “toxic” and if they remove it without proper measure they will risk being poisoned themselves.

Below you find must-know information that your dentist probably wont share with you. Educate yourself before you meet the dentist. Most of the dentists will answer your question int he same fashion claiming that root canals are safe, that nickle is not an issue, that amalgams in your mouth are not toxic, etc..

You gotta wonder why the main stream doctors are so .. docile. Is it simple ignorance, is it the result of an education system that teaches people to memorize and not question, are the dentists too busy working they don’t have time for personal research, maybe they lack motivation to research new findings, or maybe it is a convenient oversight when it comes to them making more money vs. speaking out against the “norms”.

“More than 75% of the crowns placed today are nickel, and that is present in braces. Here we call it stainless steel. It is like silver fillings, it doesn’t have much silver in it, and you would pay for silver and gold what you wouldn’t pay for mercury. So it kind of boils down to a matter of salesmanship, and stainless steel sound pretty prestigious, so they put that in children, and what happens? You see teenage behaviour that may not have been there a few days before the braces were put on.

At the University of Colorado when I was nearly 50 years old I went back to take a degree in immunology because I could see I was affecting the immune system. The first case we studied, we took a woman and put braces on her, and I am kind of sensitive to immunology, I studied it for 4 years, and about 2 weeks after that I only knew about 2% of what was going on in immunology, it is a field that is expanding very rapidly, but a term I hear many people saying is – you know this product it boosts your immune system. How does it do that? What does it do to the T4’s and the T 8’s?-.when you can study the cells of the immune system with the sophisticated equipment we have, and we can find that in this case I put the braces in. We did all the sophisticated testing, we put the braces in, and then the patients ends up with big bruises on her thigh. How did they get there? Well, a little sloppy dentistry, but these are huge bruises, no trauma involved there. Emotional things, a lot of change. Sleeping patterns, the first thing to change in an immunological challenge? Yes, big changes there. Things begin to look a little uncomfortable by day 3 so we took the conventional blood test, and what did I find? Nothing I could identify at that time, but this was 10 years ago. Today I could identify it, then I couldn’t, but things were still getting worse, and that afternoon we did the T subsets over again and what did we find? Immune system shutdown. I mean the T4’s were zero, the T8’s were zero, T11’s were zero. All of these things may not have a lot of meaning, but I can tell you zero is not where they should be. Within a few hours of death. We decided maybe we better take the braces off. The patients was for it, the faculty was for it, I was for it, I mean this was my wife we are talking about so it is not a real scientific case. So we took the braces off and the immune system came back-in 3 moths we were almost half way back where we were 3 days before. It does not recover overnight.

And I have other records on my desk where they did not take the braces off on the fourth day, and the reports show the same changes in the white blood cells, the same changes in the red blood cells, the same changes in the body temperature, everything is identical except when we get to day 4 and the braces were not removed, that was the last date that was entered on the autopsy reports, because these kids died, as they can with what is called the chrome crowns. That is a cutesy little term, chrome crowns, but these kids, I see them in the airport all the time – and I see little kids with tri-focals on, glasses about that thick. When did you have your chrome crown placed? I see people pushing along in a wheelchair. I wonder when did you have your root canal done? Because root canals so far have turned out to be one of the most vile things that I have ever run into, and my life for the last 20 years has been with a lot of vile essense

In California we found a woman who had some nickel crowns placed, she ended up with a specific type of breast tumour and she went through the lumpectomy, she went to the support group afterwards, and she said to me you know my husband was talking to this guy out in Colorado about nickel being carcinogenic.

What does that mean?

That mean it produces cancer.

Do you suppose there is any relationship between my crowns and my breast tumour?

We understand that the dental industry and the American Dental Association (ADA) dismiss these many health concerns and many of us view their dismissal, their claims of amalgam safety as dishonest and a cover-up. We don’t know what the ADA’s inner thinking is, but behaps the ADA feels that, since it has defended and promoted the use of mercury amalgam fillings throughout its entire history, it could not survive if it were to admit that it has been wrong over the last century and a half, as mis-informed and harmed millions of people, including its own dentist members, some of them seriously, through its cover-up. Most of the media also participates in cover-up even though, based on the science and the clinical record, the cover-up should be over and amalgams should be banned in the USA. We note that amalgams have been banned in Norway and Sweden, so it is possible for the truth, and a responsible public policy, to triumph in a functioning democracy. Unfortunately, here in the USA the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) appears to be captured by the ADA, and remains in cover-up mode. No matter how much damning science is presented to the FDA Dental Division and how many case reports of patient injury are presented, FDA remains in a state of denial and cover-up of the hazards of dental amalgam fillings.

Non-profits to the rescue. DAMS is a tax-exempt educational non-profit organization helping educate people in the US, Canada and elsewhere on these very important dental-health issues. People who wish to get their dental amalgam fillings removed should find knowledgeable practitioners who can remove amalgams safely, with elaborate precautions to protect the patient. Such knowledgeable dentists are not merely “mercury-free” or “cosmetic” dentists; they should be “holistic” or “biological” dentists, meaning that they pay attention to the effects that their work has on the whole person and on his/her underlying health. We must emphasize that it is very hazardous to have mercury amalgam fillings replaced by a “regular” (i.e. conventional) dentist who does not have the training and equipment to replace the amalgams with elaborate precautions.  DAMS maintains a list of holistic (biological) dentists in every state and province who are trained and equipped to replace amalgams safely. Hopefully they will also use better choice replacement materials, use natural, less toxic approaches to gum health and decay prevention (no fluoride) and be aware of the hazards of root canal treatments. Mariam Amash, an active inhabitant of an Arab Israeli village named Jisr a-Zarka, applied for a new Israeli identity card in 2008 and became popular because they found she could be 120 years of age!

The Guinness Book of Records currently lists 114-year-old Edna Parker of Shelbyville, Ind., as holding the title of oldest person alive. Even if Mariam is not 120 years of age, she’s still pretty old; her original birth certificate was issued by the Turkish/Ottoman authorities that ruled that region between the years 1299 and 1923.

How did she live to such an age?  maybe it’s just genetics, or just statistics.. but for whatever it’s worth I’d like to quote:

A granddaughter-in-law, Hamda Amash, 40, said Mariam is a “healthy, active woman. She walks each day and makes sure she drinks at least one glass of olive oil.” She was a pampered second wife who married relatively late, explaining the ages of her children, Hamda Amash said. “Her house is always full of people,” she said. “People like to come to her house. She talks to us about the old days. She knows the history since the Turkish times.” Turkish control over the Holy Land ended with World War I.

What I can ascertain  from the quotes regarding her longevity is the following:

1- She is active (and healthy)

2- Walks each day

3- Drinks at least one glass of olive oil a day

4- Her house was full of people (she is either sociable or simply surrounded by social interaction, love, emotions, communication)

This History Channel series premiered last December 29, 2008. Each of the documentaries discusses the history of one of the seven deadly sins starting with lust, envy, gluttony, sloth, greed, and ending with anger and pride.

The list of “Seven Deadly Sins” is important in the Christian theology, but interestingly, they are actually not found in the bible. It was first written by a monk in 375 AD with 8 dangerous thoughts (not sins). In around 590 AD, Pope Gregory the Great narrowed the list into 7 “Deadly Sins”.

I will write no comments on these videos, just do yourself a favor and watch them to learn more about these concepts and the evolution of ideas that so many accept as laws and take as norms. So, I highly suggest you watch this one.

Who’s Roderick Thorp? What’s Rainbow Drive? I dunno. (Maybe you do? Clue me in if you feel like doing so.) Call me ignorant. And INSPIRED! Cuz this quote is loaded- with the key to your life being much, much easier.

Be easier on yourself.

We are programmed and bombarded daily with negative images, “news”, and feedback about ourselves. So it’s no wonder we run loops of negative self-talk over and over, throughout the day, most of which, is unconscious. Until it’s not.

CATCH YOURSELF- notice when you are saying something negative about either yourSELF or about your LIFE and say “stop”. If you want to add some extra breaking-power, use an EFT/Tapping technique, where you take your index and middle finger, and tap just below your eye, on the top edge of your cheekbone, and say “I release this thought about myself. I completely accept myself, just as I am. All is well.” Then take a few deep breaths and just relax.

You are gonna have to live with yourself for the REST of your life, so you might as well become the best of friends with your own worthy self. If you think you are boring, mean, or not a good friend to others, then start by being open to feeling more excited, kind, and a good friend to yourself. Remind yourself throughout the day that YOU CAN DEPEND on you.

We are here on Earth to be in relationship to other people- to receive help, guidance, love, and companionship from others. This is a huge playing field in which we learn to expand ourselves into grander versions of ourselves. But you can also expand yourself ALL ON YOUR OWN! And you do that by FEELING GOOD.

So start feeling better- about yourself and your capacity to handle WHATEVER life brings your way. Feel better about your ability to be loving, and helpful- seek opportunities to do so, so you can be amazed by your experiences. Feel better about your life, no matter WHAT is going on (or NOT going on), but tapping that point below your eye and affirming that life can get better, and you are learning to be your “bestest” friend in the WHOLE WIDE WORLD.

Then others will do the same. And you don’t even have to “try”- you don’t have to convince them of anything, or say or do anything to help them change. It will be AUTOMATIC. People may start to watch you, look at you, and wonder “what is WITH you?” and you may reply by saying “myself. I am with me. I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to me.” And you’re here to ROCK the world! To shake it back awake- Our brothers and sisters are in need of love and this gentle reminder. Let yourself remember just how amazing you are.

Why do people think that they (and all other humans) are born as babies with sin, with this burden of sin, disobeying a god, with an imperfection, with evil?

This notion is accepted in mainstream culture, just examine for a second where it came from, then ask yourself if you believe it.

I got news for you, you are born pure, clean, free of sin, perfect and beautiful. Humans are intrinsically good.

Think about it.

Why do people think Jesus had a European looks (long soft blond hair and green/blue eyes)?

The above photo is the face of Jim Caviezel, who plays Jesus in the movie “The Passion of the Christ,” is similar to many modern-day images of Jesus.

Do you remember your childhood memories of Jesus?

Do you remember seeing images of him in bibles, posters, Sunday school literature or seeing conceptualization of Jesus in statues?

If you are White or Hispanic, Catholic or Protestant (even Orthodox or Evangelical,Born Again, Baptist etc) you just may remember a blond Jesus with long hair.

One famous image of Jesus was a painting by Warner Sallman, called “The Head of Christ” (1940). It showedd Jesus with flowing blond hair and blue eyes. He’s clean-looking, safe, passive, and even feminine to a degree.

Food for thought,

Which of these has more of an effect (influence) on the other,   media outlets (movies, TV shows and ads) or actual real life / culture?

….

My view is that media has a bigger effect on culture than culture has on media. TV and media have a lot of power on many people to a degree where these shape people’s beliefs, behaviors, and culture.

Simply put, people see it on TV, in fashion shows, in music videos, in ads, done by celebrities, owned by modern-day mystical figures, adopted by friends …  and people mimic.

Media has the upper hand on culture, not vice-versa.
