<a href="#comment-1427" rel="nofollow">@Ethan Z. </a>
I found this site by searching for a scientific measurement of the sensation described perfectly by you Ethan.

My truth is that it is Love. It is an expression of God's perfect Love for me and my love for God. It is life's intelligent energy. It is a way God communicates with me, in me, and the way I can communicate back. It is the most intimate way I have ever exchanged feelings. It is a touch of what I would imagine heaven would be like. The sensation usually becomes so strong it often ends in tears. I am so humbled by the experience each time. I always come through it knowing my place. I strongly believe we have a 6th sense yet to be understood and measured by science, and this experience is a product of that sense.

My life changed a year ago. I felt a Love not of this place, of this world; a Love I have never known. I also expressed a love I never knew I was capable of expressing, a love I never knew was in me. In this brief period of time, so much wisdom was conveyed. The experience is literally alive in me. As each day passes I gain a deeper understanding of the wisdom passed to me by the experience. So much was expressed....

I keep a running journal and I am amazed what has been written. Something beautiful happened...

I want to see this energy, this electricity, this warmth, these goose bumps, this breeze that blows threw me and over me, measured.

I am a spiritual person, not religious. I believe religion can destroy spirituality in some cases. God is more than a book of words in a book.

This is fascinating to me because the only "gateway" to this sensation that I've known is from church in a "corporate" setting, and by the "laying on of hands." Specifically, from what was called the "touch of God," or the Holy Spirit (in the Bible).

However, over the years I've reconsidered this as something isolated to church because of experiencing it alone, in a Muslim church, or in any setting. It doesn't matter where or why or who can experience it. It seems to be a universal constant, whether physical or spiritual. I can't say if it's simply brain activity or spirit (God), but I can say with certainty that it's pleasant and quickening.

Many Charismatic Christians know this sensation well, and attribute it only to God. Don't tell them otherwise! They rarely believe they can control or intensify it on their own, not without a "man of God." It's possible that many churches use this as control, to keep people coming to church, and to make people believe that it can only be experienced in a (their) building. I believe that any religious, spiritual, or physical practice can achieve this. It seems to be possible to experience this alone, during meditation, or in a group setting anywhere you choose.

Here's the thing... this tangible energy, or sensation, is transferrable (in my experience). Just as I experienced this through the "laying on of hands" in church, it's possible for others to feel this sensation when one or two people are meditating to develop it in proximity, or through touch. It's even possible to "charge" physical objects, like handkerchiefs or clothing and pass it to others as healing. Yes, that's odd, but it's even written in the Bible (Acts). Not something I would bring up in regular conversation, ha!

I've spent several years trying to forget and unlearn what I thought I knew about "the anointing," or the "power of God." While I still consider myself a Christian, I'm open to anything now. I wouldn't be surprised to find that this sensation/energy has a scientific and physical explanation for it. During the last few months I've simply been meditating and developing this sensation/energy on my own. After a few searches online, I've found that others experience this and many don't say anything about God or the spiritual. All I know is that if feels great, uplifting, and energizing. And it seems to be intensifying with greater control through meditation.

My advice is to meditate daily, and learn to focus this energy into greater intensity. Perhaps find someone to share it with, and it can't go wrong. No, it's not "the devil" or anything evil. I'd like to understand it more myself. It's nothing to fear or worry about, and I wouldn't be too quick to label it as "Kundalini" or "Holy Spirit" or anything. That may just limit the potential in your own meditation practice.

I want to learn more. Since I was 19 I got the sensation of energy in the form of goose bumps and a feeling of peace and awesomeness. Now as an adult, I am trying to understand it as it appears strong upon different individuals and their closesness in proximity to me. Can you help me understand what the heck is going on?

<a href="#comment-1426" rel="nofollow">@D</a>
Thank you for leaving a comment. There isn't a protocol that I know of. I personally have not spent much time recently meditation or experiencing this sensation.
Now, I only feel this if i meditate in quietness alone or if i do guided imagery.
It is important not to confuse this feeling with the goosebumps (that can be triggered by a song, an emotion, cold temps etc..) This is not plain old goose bumps, its a sensation inside of your body that 'can' trigger goosebumps but is not just those goosebumps in itself.

I remain unsure which of these 6 explanations is the 'one'. Thus, I don't have a certain protocol. My answer comes in one word 'meditation'

So, to answer your question, the closest thing to a protocol I know of is to meditate or to do guided imagery, try that and see if you experience this. I have a hard time making it last, I even have a difficult time controlling the spreading or movement of this sensation, but many people have no problem moving this sensation around their body and some have a hard time stopping it!

I don't store and release etc, but I know of at least 2 people (I got in touch with through this website) that do; otherwise the sensation overwhelms them.

Most people can do this at will, sometimes i can feel it just by thinking about it (but I have to be relaxed), what I do is meditate then this sensation comes along by itself.

Is there a protocol for using this technique if you could do this at will?
1. Do you intensify it?
2. Do you store then release?
3. How long would you work with it?

I was given these Kundalini websites to read. The whole concept is new to me, but I have to say the symptoms match a lot of what I experienced and am experiencing now. Here are the websites:

Excellent post. I experienced some of these symptoms while I was in deep healing from a serious illness, which set-off a kundalini that lasted for several years. As you point out, keep meditating to still the mind/fear, and, in my case, I had to begin eating organic beef after being a strict vegan for 15 years, which was grounding and helped relieve some of the more out-of-body symptoms.
