What is Spiritual Wellness? This article aims at defining what Spiritual Wellness is, it is based on literature and multiple sources and aims to be clear and precise.

Spiritual wellness refers to seeking a meaning to one’s life and integrating one’s spiritual beliefs and values with their actions . Being spiritually well means being engaged in transcending oneself in order to question the meaning and purpose of life and the lives of others.

The spiritual wellness dimension was recognized by both Hettler’s and Covey’s dimensions of wellness. Spiritual wellness means different things to different people, the definition below presents the universally agreed upon aspects of spiritual wellness.

Wellness doesn’t mean not being sick. Wellness is a dynamic process of change and growth. There are many recognized and interrelated dimensions of wellness such as: Physical, Social, Emotional, Spiritual, Occupational, Intellectual, and Environmental. All the dimension are crucial to the pursuit of wellness.

Wellness refers to a healthy balance of the mind, body and spirit. Wellness results in an overall feeling of well-being. To pursue wholeness you have to pursue wellness.

Tingling Goosebumps Equals Life Energy

What is that tingling, electric, goosebumps-y sensation that some experience?

In this blog entry I talk about my experience with this sensation. This is not a new sensation but I recently experienced it in abundance.

Throughout my life I had felt tingling waves that went inside of my body and spread on the surface of my skin while meditating or praying, especially when in deep relaxation or concentration. When this sensation is on the surface it is accompanied by goose bumps that swarm the skin and traverse the body in waves. When inside the body, this sensation is like a cloud of charged tingling particles. I found it possible to direct this cloud of sensation with concentration. Does this sound familiar?
